A Special Limited Enrollment Program
August 9-10, 2019 ♦ Seattle, Washington
Continuous lifelong learning is an essential ingredient to success in dentistry. For many of us giving back and partnering with others along their journey of growth in our profession is a component of our own learning. If you’re passionate about education, both as a learner and as an educator this program will be an essential two-day experience.
Information is not the same as education. Teaching is not the same as helping people learn. This workshop is designed to help you create an environment in which people are inspired to apply what they learn into their lives and their practices. We will gather with a small group of dedicated professionals to learn and practice the ART of education. We will provide information, small group discussion, and experiential exercises to help you develop the skills to lead and facilitate group learning.
If you intend to influence the next generation of opinion leaders in dentistry join us in Seattle to learn to:
- Create a context: What is the purpose?
- Develop content: How much is enough?
- Structure the experience: What contributes to meaningful learning?
From major meetings to study clubs, from mentoring to presentations, Dr. Lee Ann Brady and Mary Osborne have a wealth of experience leading groups in every level of education in dentistry. They will combine their knowledge and insights about structure, content, engagement and inclusion in this personalized, hands-on program.
You will leave with the ability and confidence to create learning experiences which employ:
- Collaboration for integrated learning
- Facilitation skills for group learning
- Timing, pace and structure for layered learning
- Creating Learning Objectives and Structuring Curriculum
