How Is Your Practice Unique??

By Lee Ann Brady on 11.28.12Category: Practice of Dentistry, Restorative Dentistry

One of my mantra’s in the office is that I want to differentiate our practice. I want our practice to be different, and I want our patients and the other dental teams we work with to know we are different, and how!! This process begins with being clear about your vision for dental practice and the way that vision will be expressed everyday in practice. Once you are clear the next step is to communicate this vision and it’s expression to every member of the team. Maybe better said the team needs to be inoculated with the vision, it needs to become who they are and be expressed in every patient interaction and every system of the practice. One of the questions we ask at team meetings when we discuss business choices or new systems is :How will this help differentiate our practice to our patients?” In other words, does it communicate how we are special, unique and to quote my friend Kirk Behrendt, of ACT Dental Practice Coaching, Distinct.

Yesterday Kirk sent our an e-newsletter with this fabulous video on the idea of having your practice be distinct. After I watched it I forwarded it on to several people I know, and asked that every member of my team watch it. It is a powerful 2 minutes that clearly communicates the process of distinguishing yourself, your practice and how you care for patients. I strongly encourage you to watch it, and enjoy!!

Will You Be Distinct or Extinct

Watched this video a couple of years ago and have never forgotten it. I use this line all the time when lecturing at The Texas Center For Occlusal Studies.
    Thanks for the post.
