Staying In The Question: A Team Exercise

By Lee Ann Brady on 07.16.12Category: Practice of Dentistry

Last week I shared a post and video from Mary Osborne entitled “Staying In The Question” and talked about the value of improving our listening skills int he dental profession as a key to helping our patients move forward with care. In this video segment Mary expands on the concept of Staying In The Question and explains a great exercise to do at team meetings to practice being better listeners. I have taught with Mary for years, and we always include the exercise she shares in this video. Over the years I have been amazed time and again at the impact it has on people. Often in our courses dentists and their teams will make a commitment to do this exercise at every team meeting, partnering with different members of the team each time. The teams that have taken this on, rave about he positive impact it has had in their relationships with one another and their patients. Give it a try!

I would love to see this video. When I click on the link it just goes away. Can you help me with it? How are you doing?

      Hi Carol,

I just played the video without an issue. When I press the play button it goes white for about 10 seconds as it downloads and then plays. If you are unable to play it I would suggest trying first to update your browser software or second your adobe flash plug in. Let m eknow if this doesn;t help.
