
I’m certain that no matter how long I practice or how much I learn there will always be clinical situations that I am uncertain about. Just one of these presented itself a week or so ago during a recall exam. So here are the details of the clinical situation, and I would love to hear different clinical solutions and what there risks and benefits are.
- Male Patient 45 yo
- Health History: WNL’s
- Joint History: WNL’s
- Muscle Exam: WNL’s
- Cleft lip and palate repair as a child.
- Caries Risk: High
- Upper left lateral: Endo, Post Core, Crown, Recurrent Decay and Post & Crown are Mobile
- Pt does not want a bridge due to concern over the long term health of abutments
- Existing black triangle and angled crown on natural tooth.
