It is that day of the year where we get to celebrate with Kelly’s famous ribs. They braise for hours before he finishes them off on the grill with homemade barbecue sauce. Complimenting the ribs will be corn on the cob and sweet onions, although we can not get Vidalia onions on this side of the country. This year we will be celebrating with the Gary and Cheryl DeWood and Steve and Jane Ratcliff. Hopefully Jane will bring over desert, maybe something with chocolate, caramel and nuts, and it has become a tradition to have Cheryl’s potato salad! The evening will finish with fireworks, we are lucky enough that our neighborhood does a great fireworks display and we can sit in our backyard and enjoy it! Supposed to be 107 today in Phoenix, perfect weather for July.
